i would most likely say part of the reason this has some issue gaining momentum is there is quite a few members that are regulars whom live on the west coast of US, mainly California (like me, Doc, Dame, Ricki, etc). I know I would probably participate if there were games that were set during non-typical work hours. As it stands, the Carbon games for us are at 10am, 1pm, 4pm, and 7pm. The only one most working players from CA could play is the 7pm. I know talk has happened about adding games, maybe if there was a $30 or $35 Carbon game at 10pm pst, there would be enough time to get into more games and thus the motivation to play the brackets might be better. I know at best other then days off I can only get into 1 Carbon game, so I wont be able to use this promotion other then auto seeded.
This is a great idea. This is also the 2nd week I have paid and forgotten to play on Tuesday instead of Monday thinking that was the start of the week. Zab, is there any way you could send out an email or client message to all participating on Tuesday as a reminder?
wow, according to s810car........ CA time, the times would be hard to do on the EST, the 7pm would be ???? 4 pm........if I am reading this time stuff right.
I been enjoying this past tourney with great teamns and tons of upsets. I been bettting a little on each game and been having a blast with money on the line which makes the game all that much better. I got Kentucky and Conneticut in the final. Lets go underdogs.
Woot, took me 3 or 4 weekz, but I won one....Love this upgrade
hell yea sounds cool gonna get in next week. I think this will be fun no freeroll so they will hopefully playing their cards right.

Now that Speedway has been fixed, maybe it's time to look at PO Madness next. One glaring thing I see is that the seedings are not right. Just looking at this week's seedings, I see fiveohtwo502 seeded 28th, but he got a double-bye! This should never be the case. There are no 40th, 8th, and 60th seeds. If the bracket doesn't fill up, the byes should be given to the top seeds, with the bottom seeded slots being omitted.
I would also propose a slight change to the seeding system. Keep it the same for those who buy-in (that is, based on the weekly rating), but for the non-buy-ins make it strictly by tournaments played. So if, say 8 people buy-in, then the 9th seed goes to whomever played the most tournaments the previous week (of the non-buy-ins obviously). I think this would give the buy-in players (hence top-seeds) a better advantage in the early rounds because they are more likely to face a less-active participant.
Just my $.02.
Seriously. Look at the bottom right of the brackets this week. It's full of winners by coin flip because of the way this is filled out with the non-buy-ins. This is a really good promotion, but it becomes a joke with the seeds the way they are.
Also, the buy-in should probably be lowered to 50. The way it is now if you win 4 straight you barely break even. If these two things were fixed, I'd be more apt to buy-in each week, as would probably a lot more people.
