press ctrl + PrtSc then go to paint in your accesories then right click and select paste

I don't know what OS your computer is running or anything.. But on my Windows 7 OS you can take a screenshot (to your "clipboard") by just pressing "PrtSc". Then you can do the Paste Function, whichever way(i.e. "ctrl+P"/"rightC+Paste"), into the program of your choosing to save it as its own file.

Maybe you should say what OS your running that requires you to press "ctrl" + "PrtSc" to take a screenshot, just for future reference for new readers of the thread, ya know? or if anyone else knows maybe they could post that?

BUT ABOUT THE UPGRADE!...
