I have reduced the password to 5 minutes before the tournament start time.
Anything I can do to help reduce the # of players that aren't supposed to be in the freeroll, I will do.
So starting today, the PW will drop 5 mins before hand.

strange, I usually see the password for 10 minutes before the start of the tournament

Ive made three posts today and its still showing zero,Will I still get the pass word?
very nice decision! for me the are too many players in the freerolls.. why don't reduce the number of players? For example 300 or 400 maximum?
We currently get anywhere from 50-70 players :) So no need for that yet
5 minutes are good,but i can see the pass,just 1 or 2 min before the tournament starts...
Ya I think lowering it to 1-2 minutes might work even better.

Yep 2 mins.. are good..yesterday a player who doesn't have an account here i think knocked me out:)..
And one more suggestion..Can you lock or block the chat 10-5 mins before tournament starts? after it begins you can unlock it..every1 is asking for the pw there :D

Or..you can raise the posts that needs to opt in for pw..make it 5 or somth like that:) you can also get a new administrator to help you deleting the spam posts..that would help ,i guess:D

You can get points in a variety of ways :)
The problem is about reducing it to 2 minutes, what are you going do if the website is down again and got attack by DOS Attack?
I just think the 5 minutes is fine but if you try to increased the posts.

You can only enter it if you posts one day before it start.
You need to make it opt on before that day or you can't entering.
If the website goes down again, not much I can do.. The thing about doing it the day is 50% of the users are brand new, they want to play now. They see the freeroll, they find out what they need to do and boom.
Yeah I know what you mean but it just idea!
Maybe you can take that idea later when the site has growed a bit more :)
I thought the way this forum works was great. People have to come here and mingle and they can get the password so easy...nothing complicated about it. If you start a point system.....that will suck
It is great how it is, however, the freerolls cost money. I am just trying to break even on the freerolls so I can offer more and bigger ones.Quote:

ok my thoughts are the 2 min could be a prob at UB,, where U HAVE to reg MORE than just 1 min before,, THis happened to me the other day,, so that woulld not leave enuf time to reg there at all, It would be OK at tilt tho, as they dont have that restriction for reg,, in the last minute. AS far as those weird surveys things go, LOL< i cant do them,, casue they alwasy required a cell fone # usually,, and i dont have a cell fone,, AND ONE time i did one survey thin from a tilt other frrerroll, and it gave me a virus on comp,,, so i,m scared of those survey tihngs now, BUT any other options,,, i am open too, and thankful for ur games very much too !!!
